FROM PERSEPHONE TO WOMANIZER WAVE
The Persephone project started in 2020 when I was a design student at the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd and decided to write my BA Thesis in collaboration with the Hansgrohe InnoLab.
It all started with my internship at the InnoLab – we were talking about masturbation in the shower with my female colleagues since the beginning
- SINCE EVERYONE DOES IT ALREADY - and so I knew:
That’s what I want to explore after my internship and during my Bachelor Thesis.
So I did. For a rather traditional company like HG it was quite a taboo-topic to talk about… But after I got the opportunity to pitch my Idea at the board meeting; everyone, including our CEO Hans-Jürgen Kalmbach, said: that we should give this project a ‘GO’!
But with one condition: we need to find a strong partner that could distribute such a product. And so the love-story started after we talked to Womanizer.
It was ‘a match made in heaven’ since we had an amazing team to start back in the exploration phase and developed the product together, based on the first insights of my BA Thesis.
Together with my colleague Janina Urbach (Business Designer @ the hansgrohe InnoLab) we embarked on the Womanizer Wave innovation journey.
