OUR INNOVATION PROCESS
'Our innovation process is our bible' - the only difference is, that it is constantly changing and evolving. In our current innovation projects we are working in two main phases. The problem-solution fit phase and the product-market fit phase. The phases are again divided into the individual stages of the research, the creation and the evaluation, as well as the development- and the pilot series stage.
Our process is inspired by the working methods ofstart-ups, meaning the teams enjoy a great deal of freedom when it comes to developing concepts.
This innovative business model calls for fixed milestone meetings every three months, at which our teams present their progress. Much like an investor, an “Innovation Board” decides which concepts we should continue to pursue and which we should terminate.
Each project stage ideally has a duration of three months, from the initial idea to the first prototype and then another six months to the first market test. Let’s say that would be the optimal process without iteration loops.
If we don't find the right solution after one stage, we iterate, test it and only go a stage further if we found the 'right thing'.
